24 1/2" SxS barrels with flat matted rib, fine bead front sight, 1 standing and

1 folding express sight at the transition to a raised quarter rib. 14" pull from

articulated front trigger to checkered wood butt. 1 3/4" - 2 7/8" drop. 3/8"

cast-off. Figured, European walnut stock with Anson-release splinter

forend, classic point-pattern checkering, straight English grip, sling swivels,

and teardrops. Bolstered sidelock action with bushed firing pins, concealed

third fastener, automatic ejectors and automatic top tang safety with S inlaid

in gold, fully engraved in fine Purdey-style rose & scroll. CV inlaid in gold

on underside of forend. Weight: 6lbs, 14oz. Built for Christophe in 1930 by

Jules Bury, Liege. Retaining 99% barrel blue, 99% triggerguard blue and 95%

casehardening colors. Tight, and with excellent bores.

Perfecto el rifle, pero el calibre, ni para una cosa ni para la otra, como dijo un gran PH, cuanto daño hizo Roosevelt al llevar este calibre en su safari, y tirar con el animales peligrosos, eso hizo que muchos yankys fueran a cazar con ese calibre los grandes bichos.

Yo añado, que los Jhonson (Osa y Martin) también tuvieron algo que ver en eso, pues también lo utilizaron y se pudo ver en sus películas como abatían un rino con él, y los mencionaban en sus libros.
